I was elected to the Lauderdale Lakes City Commission in March 1996, re-elected in 1999, 2002, 2006 and currently serve in that position.  I believe in leading by active participation. 

 I am an active member of numerous professional and civic organizations such as Board Member and former President of Broward League of Cities; member of Broward County management and Efficiency Study Commission, Vice Chair of Broward County Charter Review Committee, Vice-Chair of Broward UNCF, and Board of Director of Florida Medical Center.  I believe strongly in partnerships, community development and consensus building. 

I was one of the organizers of community associations in Lauderhill and Sunrise, a model that has been effective in empowering and engaging the residents of Lauderdale Lakes. I will continue to mobilize our community in all that I do.
